For this project I was asked to create a logo and visual identity system for the Department of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley. The Ultracold Atomic Physics lab focuses on using ultracold atoms and light to construct novel quantum mechanical systems.

This logo is inspired by the superfluid phase, a state of matter where fluid flows with zero viscosity. Its bold, geometric forms and organic shapes reflect seamless motion and dynamic balance. The deep blue and bright vermillion palette is designed to make an impact whilereferencing the visible light spectrum.
